It appears things have finally gotten settled when it comes to Tiffany Haddishβs Thanksgiving 2023 DUI case.
On Thursday, it was revealed that the βLike a Bossβ star pleaded no contest to reckless driving and took a plea deal which resulted in her getting the two misdemeanor charges dropped altogether. According to People, her charges were reduced down to βwet reckless,β which means Haddishβs license wonβt be suspended like it would have been had she actually been charged with a DUI.

However, she was handed down a βWatson admonitionβ which is a formal statement that must be signed after being convicted of DUI that shows you acknowledge the harm in driving under the influence and can be used against you if you ever cause a DUI accident in the future.
Additional consequences for the βGirls Tripβ star included: 40 hours of community service, summary probation for a year, mandatory enrollment in a Mothers Against Drunk Drivingβs (MADD) Victim Impact Program, mandated attendance to a Hospital and Morgue (HAM) Program (a.k.a. a driverβs education program), and a fine.
In a statement to People, Haddishβs attorney said: βMs. Haddish has agreed to a simple vehicle code violation (not driving under the influence, which has been dismissed) and looks forward to this being behind her.β
As previously reported by The Root, the βNight Schoolβ star was arrested in the wee hours on Black Friday morning in Nov. 2023, in Los Angeles after having previously performed at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood earlier that evening for the clubβs 43rd annual free community Thanksgiving feast.
At around 5:45 a.m. PT, someone alerted Beverly Hills Police Department that there was a person stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, with the driver reportedly βslumped over the wheelβ while the car was still running. When police showed up, they found Haddish and she was subsequently taken to jail without incident for suspicion of driving under the influence. No one was injured in the incident.
