An X user was driving through the Hamptons in New York when she saw none other than Jay-Z very casually cycling down the road by himself. The fan, on the other hand, was anything but casual as they tweeted about the interaction as soon as it happened.

The tweet went viral, with fans asking if that meant the Carters were back in their Hamptons home, before the fan followed up with video evidence that they did, in fact, see the music mogul on his bike.

“Muted bc I was screaming,” the fan captioned the shaky video. The majority of the comments underneath are getting a laugh from the footage.

“Your friendly neighborhood hova,” wrote one fan.

“The way his left hand left the handle, he was clearly very startled by the screaming at first. You almost made our Goat have an accident lmao,” wrote another.

“I know they’re [the Carters] sick of us lmaooo,” added another.

While most fans found the video funny, other fans felt that it was an invasion of the rapper’s privacy and thought the video and the original tweet should be deleted.

“We should be respectful and delete this. You are a fan, not TMZ,” wrote one user.

“Damn, you couldn’t let him rock without the video? Y’all be treating folks like zoo animals,” wrote another.

Others took notice of a black van that was far in the background of the video and how it sped up when the fan drove past Jay-Z, and peculated that in the van might have been security making sure that the fan was not going to harm Jay.

“He lowkey flagged the black van away with his right hand at the end before you got *pow pow’d*,” wrote one user.
