Tensions between President Donald Trump and his former Republican allies continue to build after former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Candace Owens both made comments this week that pushed for Trump to leave office, with Greene even going on to call MAGA a cult. Let’s talk about it!

As we reported in January, Greene resigned from her position in Congress last year after she began publicly criticizing Trump for the Epstein files and legislation on artificial intelligence. Ever since then, Greene has been vocal about her growing dislike for Trump, and following his recent behavior and threats toward Iran, Greene is calling for the GOP to be “burned to the ground.”
In a recent interview with the independent far-right publication founded by Alex Jones, Infowars, Greene said, “It’s (the Republican Party) completely controlled; as a matter of fact, much of Congress is controlled by AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and by Zionists, and that is a serious problem.”
Per the website, AIPAC is an organization with 6 million members “who commit their time and resources to ensuring the United States stands with our ally (Israel) and that elected officials who support this partnership are elected to Congress.”
Continuing her criticism of the GOP, Greene went on to say, “It’s gotten to a point where I’m afraid people aren’t opening their eyes, but you need to open your eyes.”
Her words struck a chord with folks on X who argue that both the Republican and Democratic parties are being controlled by the pro-Israel Super PAC.
“All of the United States is controlled. It’s whoever is willing to pay for it. The Zionist got the money. Money talks and everything else walks. When our citizens are willing to donate to worthy candidates on a large scale, this will change. But until then, suffer,” wrote one user.
“I’ve been saying this even before Trump got reelected. That’s why he didn’t get my vote or Kamala’s. Both parties are controlled by Zionists. Both parties are funded by AIPAC,” added another.
In a similar vein, Candace Owens implied Trump should retire after the president went on a rant on Truth Social about political commentators Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly and Alex Jones, calling them stupid people with low IQs and third-rate podcasts. Screenshotting the post, Owens responded on X, saying, “It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.”
Fans of Owens went on to mock Trump in the comments, saying he has lost the plot.
“Grandpa just dropped the longest, loudest get off my grass rant in presidential history. He’s lost it … he’s truly lost it,” posted one user.
Others called out the hypocrisy in the president’s social media rant.
“Buddy threatened to wipe out an entire country, and he’s calling people that were against the deaths of millions of innocent people ‘nut jobs,’” wrote another, referring to Trump’s post saying he would wipe out the entire civilization of Iran.
“He sure wasn’t saying these things when you guys were helping get him elected!!! What a disappointment!!! The idea of it’s his way or the highway is childish and embarrassing to real MAGA,” wrote a third.
