President Donald Trump is still working hard on his White House revamp, which has received criticism from both Democrats and folks online who are not fans of all his changes. But his latest decorating project has really ruffled some feathers, and folks online are calling him “petty” and “embarrassing” for it. Here’s why.

You might remember that in September, Trump unveiled his Presidential Walk of Fame, a gallery that displays portraits of all U.S. presidents — minus Joe Biden, who instead has a picture of his signature — along the Rose Garden. Well, it turns out that Trump’s Walk of Fame was still incomplete when he revealed it because he recently added plaques under each president, and he’s not exactly giving them their flowers.
Apart from President Ronald Reagan, who is regarded as a “fan of Donald J. Trump” on his plaque, the very detailed signs do not hide Trump’s criticisms of past presidents such as Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton and even George W. Bush, according to The New York Post.
Obama is called “one of the most divisive political figures in American history” on his plaque. It also states that Obama “crippled small businesses” and weaponized the IRS and federal bureaucracies against political opponents. It further refers to Obamacare as a “highly ineffective, unaffordable care act.”
On X, folks called Trump’s latest decor project “embarrassing.”
“Pathetic and embarrassing. Imagine being such a fragile baby that you need to make everything from a tragic murder to presidential portraits of your predecessors about you,” wrote one user, referring to the Truth Social post Trump made about director Rob Reiner.
“Beyond petty. Beneath the dignity of the office, America deserves better,” posted another.
One user asked: “Why is he acting like the White House is HIS house? Also, who the hell are these plaques for?”
Trump especially does not hold back his disdain for Biden, as the sign reads, “Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst President in American history.”
The plaque also states that Biden’s presidency oversaw a series of “unprecedented disasters that brought our nation to the brink of destruction.” It also accuses Biden of “letting” 21 million people from “prisons, jails, mental institutions and insane asylums” pour into the United States.
Online, folks pointed out that the plaques read like Trump’s Truth Social posts.
“Those plaques are like reading directly from his Truth Social pages. What an embarrassment for the American people,” posted one user.
“It’s like they made his late-night posts into plaques. If he could read, they’d probably boost his ego for .5 seconds,” added another.
However, not everyone was against the new signage. Fans of Trump admitted that it only made them like him even more.
“Just when I thought I couldn’t love my President more,” wrote one user.
“All in good taste, with a healthy mix of humor, brutal honesty and truth….this is what we voted for! Never stop, Mr. President,” added another.
