It’s one thing to scorn your predecessor, but it’s another to accuse him of treason and spying. In the case of the long-standing– and often one-sided– beef between President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama, Trump is once again making accusations against the ex-politician, and the consequences could be detrimental for the entire country.

Ever since stepping back into the Oval Office, Trump has posted AI videos of Obama’s arrest and accused him of betraying the American people. And in a recent Fox News’ interview with Trump, it was more of the same rhetoric.
Obama has been outspoken against Trump in recent months, even claiming the 79-year-old is a threat to American democracy. When asked about Obama’s remarks, Trump told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that Obama is the real danger.
“He says that all the time,” Trump said of the former president. “He’s the one that threatened it, by spying on my campaign. He started it. Obama spied on my campaign, and he did it knowing it was illegal,” he continued. Trump also went on to call for anyone acting against him to be held accountable by the law.
We previously told you all about Trump’s alleged evidence suggesting Obama undermined Trump’s 2016 electoral victory. National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard is heading the case which alleged the former president’s administration officials were a part of this spying scheme.
Since the report’s summer release, several experts and a CNN analysis declared Gabbard’s findings to be “misleading” at best and completely “baseless.” Obama even responded to the claims calling them “bizarre,” BBC reported.
Trump told reporters in July who asked about the infamous Epstein files that instead, “The witch hunt that you should be talking about is they caught President Obama absolutely cold.” He added: “What they did in 2016 and 2020 is very criminal. It’s criminal at the highest level. So that’s really the things you should be talking about.”
The ironic part of it all is Trump was previously accused of treason and conspiring with Russia to sway the 2016 election results. After an internal investigation done by the Obama administration, it was found that no votes were misrepresented.
“I can assure the public that there was not the kind of tampering with the voting process that was of concern…,” Obama said after receiving the Dec. 2016 brief Gabbard. “The votes that were cast were counted — they were counted appropriately.”
