Tracee Ellis Ross is facing an unsettling reality far too common for Hollywood’s elite—her L.A. home was burglarized, making the “Black-ish” actress the latest target in a wave of break-ins hitting A-list estates. Luckily, Ross was not home at the time, though reports say the bandits got away with more than six figures’ worth of luxury goods.

The burglary was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 2), after staff members arrived at her home and discovered that the place had been ransacked while Ross was out of town. The thieves shattered a rear glass door to gain entry, leaving behind a chaotic and destructive scene.
According to NBC News, three intruders were able to escape with more than $100,000 in jewelry and handbags. While police were able to obtain security footage, the investigation is still underway. No arrests have been reported at this time.
That said, it’s no secret that A-list celebs are targets for a bandit’s easy come up. High-profile homes with expensive, easily portable items make for tempting targets.
As we previously reported, Rap star Slim Thug had his Houston apartment robbed in April, when a number of his items including jewelry, cash, and other possessions were snatched. Beloved comedian Marlon Wayans had his home broken into in June 2024, and the assailant made away with several thousand dollars and a safe.
Even “Certified Lover Boy” Drake has had his own struggles with home invasion—and more than once. Back in 2022, the five-time Grammy Award-winning musician was targeted back in May 2023 when a man attempted to break into his Beverly Hills mansion, then again in May 2024 when his security guard was shot outside his Toronto mansion after an attempted break-in.
In 2017, L.A. County Sheriff’s Department arrested a woman who broke into Drake’s home and raided his fridge, per CNN. Not weird at all!
Ross, 52, has yet to make a statement regarding the harrowing incident.
