After βGirls Tripβ star Tiffany Haddish announced from a business class cabin that she was flying to Israel to βlearn and see with her own eyes,β Haddish has resurfaced days later in multiple photos and videoβincluding with gay porn performer and producer Michael Lucas.
Haddish, who found out later in life that her father was an Eritrean Jew, had her Bat Mitzvah when she turned 40 in 2019.

βIβve never seen someone so happy to be Jewish β and Iβm from Israel,β said Rabbi Susan Silvermanβyes, Sarah Silvermanβs sisterβabout the occasion.
Fast forward to 2024, and Haddish has two incidents of driving drunk under her belt, blowback from a controversial skit, strays from rants by Katt Williams and MoβNique, and a career that seems to be cooling thanks to mounting scandals. And what do people usually do when life seems to be going left? They head homeβin Haddishβs case, Israel, which is miles away from Hollywood.
As for how Haddish ended up in a photo with Lucas, that isnβt much of a mystery. Since the breakout of the Israel-Gaza war, Lucas, has been outspoken in his support of Israel. And like his photo with Haddish, Lucas has taken similar photos with Jerry Seinfeld and βWill & Graceβ star Debra Messing during their trips to Tel Aviv. But he garnered major backlash when he signed an Israeli rocket to be used in the war.
Similarly, Haddishβs trip to Israel was also met with backlash, with her being called βtone deafβ for treating the Israel-Gaza war as an opportunity for an βeducational trip.β
However, from the looks of Haddishβs Instagram feed, she has indeed been learning a lot about Israel and leaning into her Jewish roots.
Haddish appeared in a post for the βpickle showβ with author Noa Tishby, Israelβs former Special Envoy for combating antisemitism, has been sharing lots of videos about Israel, and even got a chance to spend time with some Black Hebrews.
About her trip, Haddish wrote in an Instagram post:
My time in Israel was very special. I met so many different types of people. These are the Black Hebrews that practice Judaism in the city of Dimona. I had the most fun with them. I learned so much from them. Their Passion, Resilience, Knowledge and Love is inspiring and infectious. #BlackpeopleliveinIsreal
In her photos, Haddish has a glow, and after some much-needed time away, something tells us she will be back in America and as unfunny as ever. She ready!
