A lot of people have a lot to say about the recent college protests happening across the U.S., which have seen a myriad of students taking to their campuses to speak up and speak out against the U.S. governmentβs support of Israel in its war with Gaza.
Then there are folks like comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, who took to the stage at the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles on Sunday to speak up and speak out...against the protestors.

βI donβt give a f**k about that shit. I never went to college, why would I care about college?β she said. When one attendee booed her, Haddish doubled down:
βWhy should I give a f**k about the college? Thereβs not genocide at the college. I give a f**k about whatβs going on, on the other side of the world, but why would I give a f**k about the college?...This the shit Iβm talking about, stupid motherf****rs at the college. Ainβt never worked a goddamn day in your life.β
She then asked the audience if they remembered 9/11 and explained how she went overseas to do comedy for the troops.
Later, when TMZ caught up with her on Monday, Haddish attempted to clarify:
βI think if theyβre gonna protest for one place, they ought to protest for all the places that are having genocide happen. Like, how many Black people gotta die before we can get a protest? Hello? Hello? Who built that damn college you protesting at? Hello? Thatβs what Iβm saying.
Iβm saying: if you wanna protest, protest. But if you really want to be effective and make change, go up to the legislations office, go up to you senator, call yourβcall Congress...it would be more effective. You want to get to them people? Go become a lobbyist and talk toβem.
She later added, βDo it, but do it better. Really be effective. Running around with a trash can shiedl, looking like youβre playing βDungeons and Dragons,β is not going to change nothing. But what will change [something] is if you get your education and get yourself in office. You go and talk to those people who are in office.β
She also suggested they write letters and call local officials to hold court and get their voices heard.
However, the latter statement seemed to get lost in translation as folks online werenβt feeling her initial rant at the festival:
βTiffany Haddish at the Netflix is a Joke fest last night.. this b***h outed herself as a full on Zionist and went on a fucking Israeli propaganda speech talking about βF**K THEM COLLEGES!! We need to stop hurting the policeβ HELLO?????,β said one user on X/Twitter.
βI seriously suspect the only reason tiffany haddish has made it this far as an actor/comedian was by being complicit in Hollywoodβs system of abuse. she is so consistently unfunny that thatβs the only explanation,β wrote one user.
βWhenever we are truly ready to cancel Tiffany haddish, I will throw the first stone. I want her to fail miserably,β wroteΒ another.
