Tichina Arnold has people on the internet surprised for more than one reason, and this time, a fact about her dating life has left fans shook.

As previously reported, the “Everybody Hates Chris” star appeared on Deon Cole’s podcast, “Funny Knowing You,” to speak about her upbringing and career. She also addressed colorism claims made by Ari Lennox regarding the show “Martin.” However, another piece of information has caught the attention of users, and it’s about the one and only time Arnold dated a White man.
The conversation arose as Arnold explained why she doesn’t date actors. “I don’t s*** where I eat boo boo!” the “Martin” star exclaimed as Cole doubled over in laughter. When Cole pressed further, asking if she had truly never dated an actor during her long career, Arnold admitted she dated one actor who also happened to be the only White man she had ever been with.
“Well, I did say the actor that I dated and the one White guy that I dated,” Arnold said. “It was good. He was different.”
Although Arnold said they got along, she explained that she ended the relationship because she didn’t see a serious, long-term connection.
“But I told him the reason why we’ve come to the end of our road is because I know I see you dating all these Black women, now you’re dating me, and you’re not going to end up with a Black woman,” she said. “You’re gonna share your riches and your legacy with someone White, so I’m getting off this train.”
As she spoke more about their time together, she revealed the mystery man’s identity.
“He actually took me on a date. We did the red carpet—he asked me to, I was like ‘What?’ This was at the height of ‘Martin’ too. But he was good-looking and stuff. And I mean, I said, Brian Austin Green, but he was, yeah. He was very well-off. Yeah. Nice guy.”
When TikTok users discovered Arnold’s former flame was “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Brian Austin Green, they couldn’t get enough of it.
“Well, this was a surprise,” wrote one user.
“They would have had beautiful children,” another added.
“And she was right too… lol He married and had kids with what she said. He was handsome, tho,” a third user commented.
Despite the ending, Arnold said he was a “great human being” and she has fond memories of the relationship. However, the experience helped her realize she prefers to date Black men.
“It was a great experience ’cause he was a great human being,” she said. “I think in life I had to experience that so I know what the other side is and, you know, it’s just not something that I want. I just, I really love Black men.”
