It’s not every day that a person gets to meet one of their idols in the flesh. So when the opportunity comes, it’s only natural to get a little emotional. One young “Wicked” fan got to meet star Cynthia Erivo at a screening of the new film, “Wicked: For Good,” and her viral reaction could have been any of us who haven’t stopped sobbing since the first film dropped last November.

In a clip that has been blowing up on TikTok, a 12-year-old girl named Bella was overcome with emotion as she approached Erivo on stage at the event to give her a doll and a friendship bracelet she made for her.
“You’ve inspired my life so much, and you mean a lot to me,” Bella told Erivo through tears.
The real-life Elphaba gave Bella the warmest response, giving her young fan her undivided attention and congratulating her for having the courage to come up and speak to her in front of the crowd. Then, Erivo asked Bella her to make an important promise that made the crowd erupt into a round of applause.
“Can you promise me something? Can you keep making brave decisions like this?” Erivo asked.
“@Cynthia Erivo, thank you for being so patient and sweet with her she will remember this morning forever 💚,” Bella’s mom captioned the clip.
The clip has received over 800,000 likes on TikTok since it was posted on Nov. 9 and thousands of comments from fans who praised Erivo for being so patient with her young fan.
“Cynthia understood the assignment. Understanding when you are in a position to inspire people and remember to always be kind. That moment has changed that young ladies life,” wrote someone in the comments.
Another commenter pointed out that Erivo is the kind of star we should all look up to.
“Celebrities like this deserve to be famous,” wrote another commenter.
But our favorite comment came from one viewer who had the perfect idea on how to make the world a whole lot happier.
