It was a summer box office weekend of sequels, and Think Like a Man Too led the pack with a solid $30 million, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The top three films were all follow-ups that moved into the big box office summer arena after the surprise-hit originals were released during the spring, according to New York's Daily News

Think Like a Man Too barely squeaked out a win against 22 Jump Street, which grossed $29 million in its second week of release, according to studio estimates Sunday, the Daily News reports. The Dream Works animated film How to Train Your Dragon 2 dropped to third place with $25.3 million, according to the paper. Clint Eastwood’s new Four Season musical Jersey Boys sputtered in at fourth place, netting only $13.5 million, reports Hollywood Reporter.

Think Like a Man Too, set in Las Vegas, delivered Sony its second consecutive win after 22 Jump Street. However, the sequel, which cost $24 million to produce, couldn’t match the $33.6 million debut of its predecessor, Think Like a Man, inspired by Steve Harvey’s best-selling 2012 book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“Even though the opening is a hair less than the last, I think summer weekdays are going to absolutely make up for that,” Sony Worldwide President of Distribution Rory Bruer said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “Certainly the picture is already a success. Kevin Hart is a force to be reckoned with.”

The film reteams Hart with director Tim Story and producer Will Packer and stars original cast members Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall and Gabrielle Union.

The plot thickens for the couples as they travel to Las Vegas for a wedding and bachelor and bachelorette parties, and plans quickly begin to unravel during the weekend getaway.
