The holidays are right around the corner, and if cooking isn’t your ministry, you might be a little stressed out. If you plan on hosting guests between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day and you need a little help getting your menu together, we’ve got your back. You can’t have a holiday meal with out collard greens. If you need a little help getting yours just right, actress Tia Mowry is here to give you a little help. Her recipe is seasoned to perfection with a blend of spices, including sweet paprika, dry mustard and garlic. But if you’re planning to make this dish, give yourself plenty of time – the greens need to cook for at least two hours.

Comedian Rickey Smiley shared his collard greens recipe on Facebook. Butter, bouillon and black pepper (and a half-pound of smoked turkey wings, of course) made his version of the popular vegetable a hit with his fans online.

“Yeeaaassss come through with the smoke turkey wings,” wrote someone in the comments.

Al Roker’s Sweet Potato Poon

TODAY weatherman Al Roker’s sweet potato poon is just one of the family recipes he shares in his cookbook, “Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By.” A recipe passed down from his mom, this baked delight is made with a combination of sweet potatoes, butter and a blend of sweet spices. We’re not sure if this dish qualifies as a side dish or a dessert.
