

On Thursday, Nov. 14, The Root celebrated The Root 100’s class of 2013 at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. Honorees included Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner, political pundit Joy-Ann Reid, LGBT-rights activist Danielle Moodie-Mills and writer and MSNBC co-host Touré. The members of The Root 100, who range in age from 25 to 45, were chosen for their leadership and achievements in their fields.
