The Root 100: Black Stars’ Best Red Carpet Fashion

Andra Day, Aldis Hodge and Wendell Pierce are among the celebs who brought their best style to the 2024 The Root 100.

There was no shortage of Black Excellence on display Thursday night at the Apollo Theater in New York City. The 2024 Root 100 brought out the most influential Black stars from music, TV, film, politics, food and culture. Roy Wood Jr. hosted the big event, which featured powerful performances from Andra Day and Ledisi. The red carpet featured appearances from the brightest stars in Black Hollywood like Aldis Hodge, Wendell Pierce, Tamron Hall, Don Lemon and Michelle Buteau. The gathering at the historic Harlem venue made for an evening of entertainment, fellowship, respect, and love, with attendees coming out in their best to show their appreciation for each other and for The Root.
