The tide of public opinion might just be changing on Jussie Smollett because of his new Netflix Documentary, “The Truth About Jussie Smollett.” Now, folks are starting to consider that he might have been telling the truth when he claimed he was the victim of a hate crime in 2019.

However, there are two brothers who refuse to take the pressure off Smollett and want the actor to fess up. The Osundairo brothers, Abel and Ola, claim that the “Empire” actor asked them to stage an attack on him. In the Netflix doc, Abel stated that Smollett asked the brothers to beat him up and share it on social media.
“I believe he wanted to be the poster boy of activism for Black people, for gay people, for marginalized people.”
Now the two brothers have thrown shade at Smollett in public by sending a message to the actor while on a night out in Chicago. The brothers were spotted with bottle girls around them with a sign that read, “Stop The Cap, Juicy,” according to TMZ.
Another person who is putting pressure on Smollett is Gloria Rodriguez, attorney for the brothers. “Jussie is as guilty as when he concocted this plan (the hate crime). He filed a false police report,” Rodriguez recently said to TMZ. Rodriguez also stated that she believes the only way Smollett can make a Hollywood return is if he decides to come clean about what really happened on that night in 2019, according to The Blast, a celebrity news site.
Ahead of his Netflix documentary dropping, Smollett also released a new single, “Break Out,” a song about showing love, with the music video being released a day before the film dropped on Netflix. Though the Osundairo Brothers and Rodriguez continue to pressure Smollett to come clean, comments under the music video are a mix between fans ready to give Jussie Smollett a second chance and others who still feel they’re being lied to.
