The Mistakes One Louisiana Business Says YouTuber ‘Agent Ratliff’ Did That Led to a Federal Lawsuit

Calimar White, aka Agent Ratliff, who confronts managers at their place of business on YouTube, is facing some tough consequences for a viral skit.

At some point, we’ve all had tense moments within the workplace. So when a company’s human resources department drops the ball, people like YouTuber “Agent Ratliff” are there to “step in.” But this time, one Louisiana business says the popular creator’s prank went too far, and now, they’re taking action.

Calimar White, who identifies himself as “Agent Ratliff, ID No. 33712” of the fictional “Occupational Cares Diversity Affairs (OCDA),” has built a following of nearly 300,000 subscribers on YouTube for his hilarious workplace prank videos.

His sketches often feature him impersonating a federal agent investigating fake company complaints. But after making Holmes Building Materials the target of one of his mock investigations — a video that has racked up over 100,000 views — the company decided to clap back with a lawsuit.

According to WBRZ, the lawsuit alleged that on August 1, White visited Holmes’ business site while pretending to be an OSHA employee (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration). When the staff asked for further identification, White and his counterparts clarified that they were agency affiliates.

This isn’t the first time Ratliff has referenced “OSHA Cares Diversity Affairs.” Lawsuit documents state that the U.S. Department of Labor raided White’s home and accused him of impersonating an OSHA agent. Oh, they aren’t playing with him.

In the viral YouTube video in question, viewers see White, accompanied by Agent Holden —the other comedian —and a cameraman, confronting the company’s supervisor, Derek Jones. White accuses Jones of engaging in racial harassment and practicing nepotism, among other accusations.

“It says right here ‘smell like a fat n***a,” he says before the audio cuts out. “He is in people’s personal space, trying to talk, but he be spitting tobacco.”

He continues sharing the list of complaints with Jones, who vehemently denies them.

But that’s just the beginning.

The lawsuit claims that White refused to let Jones leave the room during the confrontation, accusing him of false imprisonment and assault after White’s two associates allegedly blocked the doorway. It also accuses White of battery for blowing cigarette smoke in Jones’ face.

The video was posted on Aug. 12 and has since gained nearly 120,000 views. As of Sept. 25, Holmes Building Materials and Jones are asking a federal judge to order White to remove the video, arguing that it has harmed their reputations.

The lawsuit may not be a laughing matter for the company, but social media finds it hilarious.

“Agent Ratliff does the job that HR is afraid to do. More power to him!” one Threads user wrote.

“Aww damn his videos are hilarious. But I figured he’d get in trouble at some point,” another user added.

And one X user comes to White’s defense, saying, “He speaks on behalf of the employee’s complaints. He never claimed to be a federal agent. If he writes it down, it becomes true! Free agent Ratliff!!”
