Nicole Richie isn’t just a reality television star and fashion designer who happens to be the daughter of singer Lionel Richie; she’s also a wife and loving mom of two children: Harlow Winter Kate Madden and Sparrow James Midnight Madden, whom she shares with hubby, musician Joel Madden.

Now, “The Simple Life” star, who some might argue is one of the OGs of going viral, is getting lots of likes for some classic pictures of her daughter she shared on social media in celebration of her 18th birthday.
On Monday, the proud mom posted a photo dump featuring adorable pics of her not-so-little girl over the years.
“18 years of you ♥️🎂 @katemaddennn,” Richie captioned the post.
Fans lost their minds over the fact that the young woman they watched grow up on television now has a child who is old enough to vote.
“Omg!!! Where did the time go?!??? That’s insane. Nicole has a young adult. Wonderful job, Nicole. God bless,” wrote someone on YouTube.
And even more were blown away by how much Harlow (who by all accounts seems to be going by Kate now) looks like her mama.
“Holy moly she looked exactly like you as a kid ❤️,” one person commented on Richie’s IG post.
Other fans were quick to co-sign.
“Happy Birthday to your twin! She’s beautiful! What a blessing to create mini versions of ourselves ❤️❤️❤️,” wrote someone else.
But while Kate looks like a carbon copy of her mama, Richie says that when it comes to fashion, she and her daughter have completely different tastes in fashion.
In an October interview with Extra, Richie described herself as a “jeans and T-shirt girl” who loves to add accessories and vintage pieces to her looks. She added that she and her teen daughter are perfectly fine with borrowing from each other’s closets. But while Kate has love for her mom (the founder of the House of Harlow fashion line), she’s got a look all her own.
“[My style] is not her style though,” Richie said.
