When asked by a viewer if he regretted that decision, Snoop said: βI did turn down $100 million, yes. The only part that regrets it is my friend down there...I told him βitβs not your decision.β Iβm not thinking with the little head this time. Iβm gonna think with the big head and youβre not getting any of this,β referring to his genital area.
The βDrop It Like Itβs Hotβ rapper previously expounded on why he ultimately said no to the deal, explaining on the Instagram Live series βWake & Bake with Double S Expressβ back in January: βI got a Black wife. βI believe heβs the biggest artist in the world right now. The NFL donβt make no mistakes with who they choose. And I support whoever they put on that stage because I know itβs going to be a great 13 minutes of performance,β he said.
As to whether or not Lil Wayne was snubbed by that decision given that the rapper is a NOLA-native and Kendrick isnβt, Snoop explained: βI donβt know if it was a snub, I just feel like the opportunity will come back again because itβs always in New Orleans, Atlantaβitβs always in that area. And I just feel like if itβs meant for Wayne to have it, theyβll give it to him βcause he is a legend. His music is worthy of that and I feel like it will come to him in due time.β
