After an amazing 13-year run, “Ebro In The Morning” aired its final show on Dec. 12. Host Ebro Darden confirmed the news in post on X the same day, writing, “It’s done. More to come. #EbroInTheMorning.”

Co-host Laura Stylez posted her own farewell message on Instagram.

“We had the best time… the most beautiful listeners and got to work with legends I love. I’m so proud of the work we did together… I lived so many of my dreams at Hot97 and got to work with my best friends! ….and best friends don’t let go… trust me, @oldmanebro @rosenbergradio and I have plans and more coming next year! ❤️❤️❤️,” she captioned a Dec. 12 post.

What Went Wrong

Although the station hasn’t provided a reason for cancelling the show, Ebro Darden believes the show was targeted because of his progressive views, particularly how outspoken he has been against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a recent video post, Darden alleged that the corporate powers that be made their decision based on their own economic interests.

“The guy that owns the sh*t owns one of the casino licenses. He gotta raise half a billion dollars. They need my sh*t talking, anti-Netanyahu, anti-government, progressive sh*t out the way, bro,” he claimed. “They trying to get to these bags that these VCs got and raise some capital.”

Darden ended his rant accusing executives of not caring about what’s best for their loyal listeners.

“They don’t give a f**k about hip-hop or Black music or [the] Black community…They give a f**k about access, they give a f**k about going with their little nerdy friends to the concerts because that helps them raise money,” he accused.
