When it comes to fashion, Former First Lady Michelle Obama never disappoints. Whether she’s rocking something off the rack from J. Crew or a designer dress from the latest Versace collection, she knows what looks best on her, and she’s not afraid to push the envelope. Her style has only become edgier since she left the White House.
Mrs. Obama’s time as First Lady may be over, but she’s still serving lewks everywhere she goes, including while she addresses the crowd at the Democratic National Convention. While we always love to hear what she has to say, we’re just as excited to see what she’s going to wear. So let’s look back at some of our favorite looks from our Forever First Lady in the past couple of years.
Minimalist Chic at the DNC

Mrs. Obama made an impassioned call to action to voters during night two of the Democratic National Convention while wearing a stunning two-piece ensemble from Monse’s 2025 resort collection.
Monochromatic Magic

Accessories are everything with this monochromatic turquoise look Mrs. Obama wore for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to promote “The Light We Carry.” From the flower on her lapel down to those silver slingbacks, no detail was missed.
Street Style

You know she can dress up. But it’s rare we get to see the Former First Lady dress down. We’re living for this satin wide-legged pant and sneakers she wore in New York City in 2023.
Doing it in Denim

For her book tour stop in D.C., Mrs. Obama rocked a denim on denim look from the Ganni Resort 2023 collection that was casually chic. But when it comes to this look, it was the red patent boot for me.
Runway Ready
When in LA, why not wear Versace? Our Forever First Lady rocked a colorful look from the designer’s Spring 2023 collection.
The Prettiest Purple

Mrs. Obama proved she’s not afraid of color in this custom eggplant two-piece suit and sequin bustier at an Atlanta stop on her “Becoming” book tour back in 2019.
A Lewk in London

Sometimes less is more. And Mrs. Obama gave us simple and stylish, wearing all black with gold accents for a stop on the “Becoming” tour at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Emerald Elegance

Mrs. Obama rocked a black pantsuit with emerald accents for her 2019 “Becoming” book tour stop in Oslo, Norway.
Pink Perfection

The First Lady stuns in a salmon-colored Stine Goya suit at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Amazing in Orange

We love the orange top and pants from Fe Noel she wore for the “Becoming” tour at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
A Beautiful Blue

This beautifully bright blue pantsuit stole the show during her 2019 visit to BookTube at YouTube Space Austin in Austin, Texas.
Balenciaga at Barclay’s

The always fashion-forward former First Lady brought the heat when she sat down with Sara Jessica Parker at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2019. The yellow Balenciaga gown was stunning, but the thigh-high gold Balenciaga boots stole the show.
Pretty in Pink

If there’s one thing I can say about Michelle Obama, ya girl can rock a pantsuit. And the pink suit she wore at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif gave me life.
Wearing White Well

All-white is not for everyone. But Mrs. Obama looks flawless in a white wide-legged jumpsuit at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Bringing it in Blue

We can’t get enough of Mrs. Obama’s monochromatic looks, especially this blue ensemble she wore for her stop at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on the “Becoming” tour in 2018.
A Perfect Pantsuit

Wearing all white for a stop on the “Becoming” tour at the Forum in Inglewood, California back in 2018.
Sweet Home Chicago

You have to bring it when you sit down with Oprah Winfrey. Mrs. Obama did just that in an all-white ensemble at a Chicago stop on her “Becoming” book tour. We love the subtly sexy touches, including the peek-a-boo shoulder and pop of color with her pink pumps.
