The deal was celebrated at Kensington Palace on Tuesday morning.

At the royal wedding, they performed “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King, prompting the song to soar the song was at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart. The 1961 hit had over 9,000 downloads the week of the May 19 wedding

Gibson & The Kingdom Choir announced that they’ll be releasing their debut album with the label on Nov. 2. They haven’t started recording for the album but their version of “Stand By Me” will be included.

“The Kingdom Choir are absolutely delighted with the journey of the past few months! It’s been a roller coaster, but we wouldn’t have it any other way — first, the honor of being able to sing at the Royal Wedding, and then the thrill of being signed to Sony!” conductor Gibson told Billboard. “It’s like an un-dreamt dream — one that you wouldn’t even consider because you never thought it could happen to you.”

COO of Sony Music U.K., Nicola Tuer, is extremely excited to work with the choir and knew she wanted to partner with them when she saw their performance at the wedding.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have signed The Kingdom Choir to Sony. Along with the rest of the world, we were stunned by their incredible performance at The Royal Wedding, so we jumped at the chance to sign them,” Tuer said to Billboard.

Congrats to the choir! They bought some soul to the royal wedding and now have received the ultimate blessing.
