The Best- and Worst-Dressed Stars at the 2014 BET Awards

Some celebrities slayed at the 2014 BET Awards, while some looked plain silly (more stars fell into the latter category). Perhaps the blistering Los Angeles heat was to blame? Here's a recap of the stunners and the stunned at this year's awards show, which took place at the Nokia Theatre.

THE BEST:

Regina Hall

Hall kept it sexy in the L.A. heat with her all-white suit, bare chest and simple gold jewelry accents.

August Alsina

The newest R&B crooner, Alsina looks suave in a cerulean suit paired with black accents and aviator-inspired shades.

Kerry Washington

This floral-print dress with classic white pumps is perfect for some California sunshine. Can you believe that Washington has virtually no perceptible baby weight, despite having given birth to her daughter, Isabelle, barely two months ago?

LeToya Luckett

A little shoulder-and-back action never hurt anyone.

John Wall

This Washington Wizard traded in his jersey for a dapper red blazer.

Amber Rose

The bald beauty showed her curves in a very sexy, sophisticated way.

While most of the all-white outfits of the night were winners, this one was not. Sometimes, less really is more.

The Root doesn't know why you wore that floral blazer, either, Wale.

Zendaya

Zendaya's stylist must have chosen this throwback-jumpsuit-inspired outfit before getting the memo that the Disney star has pulled out of Lifetime's Aaliyah film. Regardless, this powder-blue number is a fashion faux pas.

Charli Baltimore

Contrary to popular social media belief, this is not Ciara. This is not The Hunger Games, either. The odds weren't in Baltimore's favor with this one.

Tatyana Ali

She was eye-catching in more ways than one, but for all the wrong reasons. It was uncertain whether her gold-choker halter was secure enough to keep her goods in place in her nearly blinding, keyhole-accented, neon-salmon dress.

Gabrielle Union

The Think Like a Man Too star is gorgeous in almost anything, but this Greek-inspired cream gown with a mesh-paneled neckline, cinched at the waist, and a slit and paired with thigh-high boots made her seem overdressed and did little to show off her assets. Her jewelry was also understated.

It seems like Bobby Ray is giving Crenshaw karate lessons in this outfit. He added the hat just because, well, why not?
