The Los Angeles Times reports that the 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was arrested by a team of Los Angeles Police Department special-operations officers at his house in the San Fernando Valley along with another man, 24-year-old Darron Rose, according to LAPD Lt. Tim Torsney.

The men were booked on suspicion of home-invasion robbery. According to authorities, Chief Keef was being held on $500,000 bail, while Rose’s bail was $250,000.

LAPD Officer Tony Im told the Times that the search and subsequent arrests were in connection with a Jan. 19 robbery at another home in the San Fernando Valley. While police declined to give the victim’s name, the Times identifies him as music producer Ramsay tha Great, who police say was assaulted when at least two men armed with assault rifles broke into his home.

The producer posted on Instagram and called Chief Keef out for breaking into his house and assaulting him, saying that it was stupid for the rapper to show up with his friends to personally jump him, and telling Keef that he planned to press charges.

“This ain’t Grand Theft Auto,” the producer wrote on Instagram. “You have been playing too much of that. It’s real life. You can’t do that.”

Fans of the rapper criticized the producer and threatened him for “snitching,” which provoked an angry response from the producer.

“It’s Chief Keef’s fault,” the producer said. “If he didn’t do this to me, he didn’t run in my crib like that, if he didn’t jump me, punch me in the face, rob me, home invasion, he wouldn’t be going to jail.”
