When a couple breaks up, sometimes one party is still holding on to those feelings and want that old thang back. For one Texas man, he tried winning back his ex-girlfriend with gifts, even going as far as to hide in her closet to surprise her. But when she returned home, the unthinkable happened.

Shiateek De-Shean Wilson’s ex-girlfriend was out with her new beau, Noel Denzel Miller, in Converse, a city about 260 miles southwest of Dallas late Saturday (Oct 25). While they were out, Wilson went to her home to “surprise” her with gifts, including money, drugs, and flowers. Because she wasn’t home, the 23-year-old instead hid in her closet after drinking a beverage and watching videos, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Then, the couple returned home.
Upon their arrival to the woman’s house on the 7300 block of Roveen Trail early Sunday morning, she went to take a shower and Miller went to the laundry room. Suddenly, she heard multiple gunshots rang out.
Law & Crime reported that the woman, whose name has not been released by police, ran into a bedroom where she saw Miller, 35, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The woman says she saw Wilson in the doorway, who had complained that she was “playing games with him,” with gun in hand. Per the outlet, the woman says Wilson fled to a nearby friend’s house before taking her cellphone. She had to beg for it back to call 911, prompting Wilson to return her phone, but not before allegedly telling her “not to tell on him.”
He was arrested at the friend’s home and now faces one count of murder. But Wilson, according to San Antonio local news station KENS, admitted to shooting Miller in an interview with authorities. He reportedly did so because Miller pointed a gun at him first. Wilson said he tried to sneak back out of the home, but claimed Miller spotted him and pulled out a gun. And that’s when he shot him.
He’s currently being held in the Bexar County Jail on $300,000 bond.
