Tamar Braxton posted a very shocking health update on her Instagram story Tuesday (Aug. 19) that has everyone wondering how the reality star royalty is hanging in…and what exactly happened.

Braxton, 48, shared that on Sunday (Aug. 17), she suffered a near-death incident after she was found in a pool of her own blood by a friend. She first reposted a quote on her story that said, “Thank you, God, for waking me up today,” before sharing why she posted that:
“I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even talk anymore I’m so weak. I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of my own blood from my friend with a face injury.”
According to the “All The Way Home Singer,” that’s not even the worst of it, as she has noticed more injuries in the days since the incident.
“I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins… Pray for me for real. I don’t even know what happened to me,” Braxton finished her post.
This isn’t the first health scare that Braxton has suffered. While wrestling with mental health issues in 2020, Braxton survived a suicide attempt and in an interview with PEOPLE, she said she was committed to doing what she could to improve her mental health and be the best mom she could be for her son.
“That time of my life was so dark and so heavy,” she told the publication. “I didn’t see how I was going to come out on the other side. I didn’t even know that there was another side. But I chose to change my life… I’m dedicated to being the best mom and person I can be. I am moving forward.”
No further updates were shared by the singer about the incident that happened on Sunday. But in a recent Instagram post promoting her MTV show, “Caught In The Act: Double Life,” fans in the comments wrote to Braxton saying that they were praying for her and wishing her a speedy recovery.
