SZA’s Thoughts on Her Own BBL Surgery Might Surprise You…

The 'Snooze' singer has been open about her feelings about her body for years.

SZA is getting all the way real about her body and some of the decisions she’s made over the years to enhance itβ€”including her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

If you’ve been paying attention to her songs over the years, then it should come as no surprise that the St. Louis singer would opt for that particular enhancement. But he β€œSOS” singer recently opened up about her decision to go under the knife in a new interview with British Vogue for their December issue, in which she revealed that doing so has now come with some regrets β€” and some advantages.

In songs like β€œGarden” from her acclaimed 2017 album β€œCTRL,” she mentions wanting to be lied to about her butt size and how sensitive she is about β€œhaving no booty.” She later confirmed that she got the BBL in May 2023. But looking back on the decision now, it seems like the β€œLow” singer has mixed emotions about the ordeal.

β€œI’m so mad I did that shit. I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid. But who gives a f**k? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the shit,” she explained, before sharing that while she somewhat regrets the decision, she’ll β€œdo a whole bunch more shit just like it” because her body is temporary.

She went on to say that she’s now focused on getting her mental health together in addition to working on her body. But overall, she’s happy to have a larger backside now:

I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.

SZA now joins the ranks of other pop stars who’ve gone under the knife in search of a slim waist and big behind, including Nicki Minaj, Cardi B (though she later had hers reversed) and Summer Walker.
