In case you haven’t been paying attention, President Donald Trump hasn’t wasted any time pushing through his MAGA agenda since taking office. He has made good on just about all of his to be tough on immigration, tough on crime and impose tariffs on our trading partners. But he seems to have left out the part about how these policies would affect hardworking American citizens.

One person who has noticed and who is talking about it is writer and professor Stuart Rojstaczer, who has made it his mission to point out all of the dangerous moves the Trump administration is making and how they will impact vulnerable populations.
Here are three times he tried to warn us about what could be coming our way.
He Wants Us to Die Young
Rojstaczer said it’s no coincidence that the administration is making cuts to healthcare programs like Medicaid and agencies like the National Weather Service – an important resource to alert Americans about tornadoes, hurricanes and other weather emergencies.
“I’m not exaggerating when I say the ultimate plan they have for us is for us to die,” he said.
Commenters agreed. One person even pointed out that having a younger population would make taxpayer-funded programs like social security obsolete.
“It makes sense… social security won’t be necessary if we 💀 by age 55,” wrote someone in the comments.
Bringing Back the Gilded Age
No matter how hard the President tries to sell his tariff policy, Rojstaczer says it’s not good for a majority of Americans, adding that Yale Budget Labs predicts they will end up costing an average American family of four $2,400 a year. And while he won’t admit it out loud, Rojstaczer said that’s exactly what he wants. He says Trump has romanticized The Gilded Age, the period between the late 1870s and the early 1900s, and wants to take us back. In case folks forgot, that wasn’t exactly the best time for Black people.
“In the Gilded Age, more than half of America lived in poverty, wore rags while the rich lived this great life [and] controlled the country,” he said.
Creating a Police State
Rojstaczer agrees with those who believe President Trump’s move to bring the National Guard to the streets of Washington, D.C. is an attempt to create a police state in the country – something he says is straight out of an authoritarian playbook (think: Orbán in Hungary or Putin in Russia) – even though he’s telling us he’s saving the city from bedlam and squalor.
He says authoritarian leaders invent a crisis and then bring in the military to deal with it because they want to choke our freedom.
In an August 12 post, he predicted that we have about 15 months before we get ti a point of no return and the country has a militarized authoritarian state that lasts for a decade or longer.
“That election, in my opinion, is going to be our last chance,” he said. “We need to support candidates who can beat back Donald Trump.”
