New York County Ballot Lawsuit Sparks Election Integrity Firestorm on Social Media

Raffi Williams, who has served as the RNC’s deputy press secretary for nearly two years, called out the civil rights organization for not mentioning the historic wins of Republicans Mia Love and Sen. Tim Scott in the midterm elections on Tuesday. Love, from Utah, became the first black Republican woman elected to Congress—ever. Scott, from South Carolina, became the first African American to have been elected to both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Williams took to Twitter to voice his disapproval of the omission of Scott’s and Love’s wins in a recent NAACP statement. “I wish an organization like the NAACP would support black people of [all] ideologies. Unfortunately, they are proving how out of date they are,” Williams tweeted.

Williams appeared on Fox & Friends this morning to discuss his tweets.
