Regé-Jean Page is Returning to Netflix, But It’s Not What You Think At All!

Regé-Jean Page is coming back to Netflix, but you’ll never guess what his new show is about.

If you have been waiting for Regé-Jean Page to return to Netflix since his abrupt departure from “Bridgerton,” then you are in luck! But this time, he is not back to charm folks in his role as the Duke of Hastings. Instead, he is returning to the streaming giant with a role that is quite edgy.

While Page might have had the ladies swooning in “Bridgerton” as a broody London gentleman with a gooey romantic center, he will be surprising audiences with a darker performance in Netflix’s “Hancock Park,” an erotic series in development at the streaming platform. Not only will Page star in the show, but he is also the executive producer of the series through his production company, A Mighty Stranger, according to E! News.

In “Hancock Park,” Page will return to a world of opulence, but this time as a member of Los Angeles’ high society. “The Gray Man” star will be a “charismatic” intruder who invades the life of a Los Angeles family struggling to hold onto its high social status. As Page gets closer to the family, he will begin to uncover their dark secrets and dismantle their “seemingly perfect” lives, according to the Netflix publication, Tudum.

Folks online have already started reacting to news of the Page making his long-awaited comeback to Netflix, and are looking forward to the series. On X, users have stated that just having Regé-Jean Page in the show is enough to make them want to watch it.

“GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT NOWWWW,” one user posted.

“Regé Jean Page will lead Netflix’s WHAT????? Release it tonight,” another wrote.

“You had me at Regé-Jean Page and erotic thriller,” another added.

Other folks aren’t as excited, feeling that the premise is a little too predictable.

“Another show about rich people and their messy secrets? Netflix will never free society from the “wealthy L.A. family with dark desires” storyline, just recycling the same plot with a finer man this time. Congrats to them, sha,” one user posted.

“Who they’ll pair him with will determine my interest in this. Netflix shows are not exactly premium content, but I’m always ready to support a Brother,” another added.

So far, the “Bridgerton” star is the only confirmed cast member, and there is no release date for the show since it is still in development. However, Netflix also announced that the show will be written by Matthew Barry, who has worked on HBO’s Finance drama “Industry” and Netflix’s horror series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” so there is a chance this show will send a shiver down your spine.
