On Monday a judge said that Ray Tensing, the now former University of Cincinnati police officer charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter in the death of Sam Dubose, will be retried May 25, Cincinnati.com reports.
Hamilton County, Ohio, Judge Leslie Ghiz said that she expects the case to remain in the county.

Last month Joe Deters, the Hamilton County prosecutor, announced that he would seek to move the case to another county, but no formal request to change the venue was filed, according to the report. He said he hoped to change locations because of the problems that arose during the first trial, including concerns about the jurors' identities being made public.
Stew Matthews, Tensing's attorney, however, said that he has not agreed to a change of venue.
In addition, three judges disqualified themselves in the Tensing case. Ghiz was assigned the case at random Nov. 29.
