A lot of families argue or fight over the Thanksgiving table, but Ray J and Princess Love allegedly had the worst one of all this holiday…and it was all captured on a Twitch livestream.

As we’ve reported, Ray J and Princess Love have been in a very rocky place in their relationship since they first filed for divorce in May 2020, which they later reconciled. However, they then filed for divorce three more times: in September 2020, October 2021, and February 2024. However, their current filing has stuck and is ongoing. Now, fans have just seen the dark side of their relationship after witnessing a scary custody battle happen on the “One Wish” artist’s live stream.
The issue started early yesterday morning as the artist streamed about having the “Worst Thanksgiving in the f****** world.”
“Now I’ve got my kids in here with me. Ain’t nobody taking my kids away from me on Thanksgiving, bro, on the dead homies. They (Princess Love and her family) in my house. They’re making threats to me,” Ray J says on stream.
However, what happened next made the stream extremely disturbing as viewers watched the artist pull out and load a gun while threatening that if anyone steps close to the door of his room, he’ll “Blow this f****** s*** away.”
Soon after, Love walks past the camera to get her kids while Ray J follows and disappears off-camera. When the “High On You” singer returns, he points the camera at Love, telling her to drive home drunk with their kids. In response, the “Love & Hip Hop” star states repeatedly, “You just pointed a gun at us.”
The nasty altercation is then calmed down by an unidentified man who splits the fighting parents apart, but not before Ray J threatens to “shoot” and “kill” him multiple times. At this point, the camera is black because the laptop Ray J was streaming on was folded half-shut.
By the end of the stream, police can be heard arriving on the scene. The cops arrived around 4 am under a domestic violence call, and Ray J was taken into custody at the LAPD’s Van Nuys station with a bail set at $50,000, according to ABC.
However, it doesn’t end there, as the “Wait A Minute” artist was released on bail later that day and went back onto social media to explain his side of the story. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Ray J says that he doesn’t want the story to spin out of context.
“I don’t want the story to go to where it don’t supposed to go. You’re in my house, we’re having an argument. We grown-ups. If you want to leave, leave. The kids are upstairs sleeping in my bed. You wanna go upstairs and wake them up into this grown-up argument that shouldn’t have happened,” he states. “Then you got a dude coming in my bedroom, where my kids is sleep, and they’re trying to get in my bed and take my kids cause all of y’all are drunk.”
He then adds that he was defending his kids and his space, noting that he’s fine with the police showing up because they’ll understand what he’s going through.
“When they call the police, no problem. I’m sure the police gone come and understand what I’m going through… But you know what it is, what it is, I love my kids. I’m not playing about my kids, and that’s it.”
In another deleted Instagram post, Princess Love also explained her side of the incident. Starting her video by saying she has been trying to protect her peace by staying off social media, but she won’t let Ray J deflect and make the issue about her.
“I went to his house with the kids, because I wanted the kids to have a good Thanksgiving with their dad. He’s been gone for a month. Hasn’t seen them, hasn’t called them, and he wanted to spend Thanksgiving with his kids.”
She explains that she went to his home with their kids, her cousin, and her cousin’s husband. She also states that she told Ray J not to cause any arguments, otherwise she’d leave with their children. The video ends with Love saying she doesn’t understand why she still has hope that they can peacefully co-parent their children.
“I don’t know why I keep thinking we can just c0-parent and be cordial with each other.”
So far, nothing more has been said online from the parents, but Ray J has been given a court date set for Dec. 19, according to TMZ.
