Child star Raven-Symone and her wife Miranda Maday have been a couple for the last five years now. But their union, and Maday specifically, is getting blasted online thanks to a recent revelation.

In a newly resurfaced interview that she and Raven did for their “Tea Time with Raven & Miranda” podcast in July, the two discussed their marriage alongside a guest with Maday sharing that the “Cosby Show” star initially thought she was Jewish and therefore marrying up when they decided to tie the knot.
When the guest said that Raven was rich, insinuating that she wouldn’t need to “marry rich” because she already had coins, Maday interjected: “not as rich as me.”
She continued: “Part of why I feel I have to stand like 10 toes down about it and speak with my whole chest is because so many people think I married Raven just for money…I didn’t marry Raven for money, I’m richer! I married Raven because I’m attracted to her, even her boobs and she might remove them and that’s fine with me because I don’t care!”
Once Maday’s comments began making the rounds on social media, a plethora of people came out against her, with many citing this as yet another example of Maday trying to downplay the “That’s So Raven” star’s success and significance. (In April 2024, Maday came under fire online after she admitted that Raven wasn’t on her radar before they began dating and had never watched any of her shows and movies until after they got together.)
Now, with Maday’s latest words, she’s once again garnering backlash.
“I have a theory about Raven’s wife… it’s not just “jokes.” The “I’m richer” and “I didn’t know who she was” comments were digs. She benefits from Raven’s name but resents that it’s Raven. They’re never apart. It gives handler/narcissist vibes, jealous and always humbling her!” wrote one user on X/Twitter.
“She has this weird thing about lowkey competing with Raven. It’s incredibly bizarre. Why would you not say something along the lines of “We’re both rich” or even, “I had my own money too” lmao. This shit is over the day Raven remembers she’s Raven Symone, an American icon,” one other user wrote.
“If I had a podcast and Raven-Symoné was coming ,on and I’ve have it stated in the contract that she keeps that wife of hers outside the recording room. I don’t even want to hear that lady so much as BREATHE into the mic,” said another.
Added one other user: “Raven Symone’s biggest hater is her wife and no i will not elaborate goodnight.”
One other user kept it blunt, writing online: “Raven Symone’s wife is exhausting as hell. She tries to downplay who Raven is everytime. Raven is a living legend, not some random chick. Tf? We have been watching her since we were kids! We grew up with her!”
