R. Kelly’s Alleged ‘Hostage’ Finally Breaks Her Silence, and the Tea is Piping Hot!

Kelly, the disgraced singer, has been trying to get out of prison since he got sentenced. But we've barely heard from the one person closest to him, until now.

Updated on Monday, June 23 at 12:20pm ET: As if the video of R. Kelly's "hostage" Joycelyn Savage finally speaking out after years wasn't enough, her parents are now causing everyone online to side-eye it completely.

As seen in a new interview on Monday, Savage's parents are now claiming that the video of their daughter may be AI generated .

The video that we saw did bring some concerns because it appears that the video is AI-generated. Anybody knows about AI, how realistic videos can be just from a simple picture," her mom said.

She went on to explain the difference in her daughter's tone of voice and mannerisms in comparison to previous ones they have of her. Joycelyn's father also added that they'd be filing a missing person's report so that they can finally get a grip on their daughter's well-being and whereabouts.

In news that can only be described as "I'm sorry, what?," the latest update when it comes to R. Kelly involves someone extremely close to him finally speaking out after years of silence. But when we tell you what they said and the title they apparently have, you're sure to roll your eyes.

If you'll remember, back in 2019, we told you how Joycelyn Savage --one of Kelly's "sex slaves" and girlfriends from his federal racketeering case-- spoke out against the "Ignition" singer, describing herself and as his victim and him as a manipulator on her Patreon channel years ago. Savage's words were in stark contrast to her initial feelings about him as she first came off as a staunch defender of the once beloved R&B singer. Just a few years later, after Kelly's conviction, Savage would seemingly switch tunes again as evidenced by a letter she wrote a New York judge in 2022, pleading for him to receive a lighter sentence and then, surprisingly referring to herself as his fiancรฉe.

Fast forward to 2025, and Savage is finally coming out of the woodworks again, this time, in an attempt to clap back at recent internet chatter about the status of her and Kelly's relationship. Specifically, Savage sat down with TMZ to combat the narrative her own parents gave to the same outlet just a week ago.

At the time, Savage's parents told TMZ that they hadn't spoken to their daughter since 2019 and all attempts that they've made to contact her through Kelly's camp have been met with radio silence. They also slammed the "Bump n'Grind" singer's plans to seek a presidential pardon from his sentence and pushed to hear from Savage directly and not through any third party.

Now, it appears they got their wish as evidenced by a new video she released to TMZ on Sunday where she revealed that she's in fact, still Kelly's fiancรฉe, detailed future plans with him, and bashed her parent's recent interview.

"I just want to come out here shortly to let you guys know, I am not a victim. I been with Robert for 10 years, he has been incarcerated for six years and I have seen him every weekend for the past six years. Just three years ago I proposed to Robert and he said yes and we are planning on getting married and having a family and I'm very excited about that," she said in part.

She went on to urge everyone else not to believe "the lies" her parents were putting out about her and shared that she has a phone of her own and had chosen not to reach out to them of her own accord.

โ€œI am not held against my will. I am not a sex slave. I am not brainwashed or any of those crazy lies that were told on me," she said.

She concluded her message by asking everyone to pray for them both and pushed for his release once again, noting that "he deserves to be free."
