Proof These MAGA Republicans Are Turning on Each Other

Republicans like Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rand Paul and more continue to stir up trouble within their own party.

The Democratic party has long been scrutinized for seemingly never being on the same page… but can we please talk about what’s going on with the Republicans? Ever since President Donald Trump returned to the White House, the GOP has had difficulty trying to uphold the Constitution all while appeasing the president. And now, the cracks are starting to show.

From Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s unhinged social media beef with Trump all the way to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s recent callout of one of the strongest MAGA supporters, Ga. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, clearly, Republicans aren’t all on the same page like they try to make it seem. Here are 13 times MAGA just couldn’t get it together!

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz just advised the public to ignore Ga. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after he said she’s turn “very liberal,” according to the Independent. Cruz’s words come after weeks of Greene criticizing the Trump administration and her own colleagues in light of the ongoing government shutdown.

Elon Musk vs. Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, DC – MAY 30: Tesla CEO Elon Musk listens as U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to reporters in the Oval Office of the White House on May 30, 2025 in Washington, DC. Musk, who served as an adviser to Trump and led the Department of Government Efficiency, announced he would leave his role the Trump administration to refocus on his businesses. Days after Tesla CEO Elon Musk left Trump’s White House as the head of DOGE, he got into an online beef with the president that had the entire Republican party stunned and embarrassed. Musk first went on a rant about how dangerous the GOP-led “Big, Beautiful Bill” is to the country before taking responsibility for Trump’s November win, we told you. “Without me, Trump would have lost the election,” Musk wrote on June 6. Then, he claimed Trump is in the Epstein files, which is why he allegedly won’t release the files to the public. Musk has since announced plans to launch his own political party, the America Party.

Candace Owens vs. Donald Trump

Conservative commentator Candace Owens appeared on the “Piers Morgan Uncensored” show to finally admit she was wrong about the president. Trump came under fire — perhaps more than usual– after joining Israel’s longstanding beef with it’s Middle Eastern neighbor Iran and launching missiles at its nuclear facilities. “He’s been a chronic disappointment,” Owens told British show host Piers Morgan. “I feel embarrassed that I told people to go vote for him because this wasn’t going to happen, and it is happening,” she continued, referring to U.S. attack on Iran. She’s also doubled down on her frustration with MAGA after the assassination of her friend, Charlie Kirk, in September.

Marjorie Taylor Greene vs. Mike Johnson

Republicans like Rep. Greene had major critiques for the “Big, Beautiful Bill.” In the case of the Georgia congresswoman, a small provision in the bill took away state’s rights to regulate artificial intelligence, and Greene said that is a pure violation. But she particularly took aim at House Speaker Mike Johnson for his role in the GOP-led bill.

Joe Rogan vs. Donald Trump

Podcaster Joe Rogan was key to Trump securing votes from younger generations. But now, he’s sounding off after he claims Trump is taking the immigration crisis in America too far. “You got to get scared that people who are not criminals are getting like lassoed up and deported and sent to El Salvador prisons,” Rogan said during a podcast episode. He even doubled down on the sentiment, adding “It’s insane” that Trump is not just targeting “criminals and gang members” but also the “targeting of migrant workers.”

Senate Rejects Trump’s Tariffs

Once again, the Senate has voted against Trump’s proposed international tariffs. The president originally claimed “national emergency arising from conditions reflected in large and persistent annual U.S. goods trade deficits” for a reason to inflict the tariffs, but even Republicans in Congress haven’t bought into it. Several Republicans teamed up with Democrats in the Senate to defy Trump, Fox News reported.

Rand Paul vs. Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, DC – JULY 15: Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) arrives for a confirmation hearing at the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on July 15, 2025 in Washington, DC. Waltz, who was nominated by U.S. President Donald Trump to be the next U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, previously served as the National Security Adviser. He resigned from that position after facing scrutiny for his involvement in creating a Signal chat that mistakenly included a journalist. This chat discussed sensitive plans for a military strike on Houthi targets in Yemen. (Photo by Michael M. Santiago/Getty Images)

Ky. Sen. Rand Paul has a rocky relationship with Trump. He previously stood strong against most Republicans in Congress and the president over the “Big, Beautiful Bill” all because the legislation is expected to add $4 trillion to the national debt, according to NBC News. Republicans were able to pass the bill without Paul in July. But recently, he took issue with the administration’s military strike on Venezuela. He called the attacks “extrajudicial killings.”

Josh Hawley vs. Donald Trump

Last week, Mo. Sen. Josh Hawley, who previously supported the president’s 2020 rigged election conspiracy, introduced legislation to continue funding for SNAP despite Republicans’ wishes. His plan has gathered little support from Republicans– only 10 GOP politicians– but clearly, Hawley is willing to stand up for what Missouri residents need. Speaker Johnson called any plans to send funding for SNAP or to pay furloughed federal workers a “waste of time.”

Young Republicans

Two warring groups within the young Republicans were at odds back in August over who will lead the Young Republican National Federation, according to POLITICO. The members were set to vote between Grow YR, led by current YRNF Chair Hayden Padgett, and the insurgent Restore YR campaign, led by New York State Young Republicans Chair Peter Giunta, for the new leadership. Now, the Young Republicans are facing criticism after a series of racists texts from inside the organization have hit the internet.

Roger Wicker, Mike Rogers vs. Donald Trump

Miss. Sen. Roger Wicker and Ala. Rep. Mike Rogers said they “strongly oppose” Trump withdrawing Army troops from their current NATO stations. “Pulling back U.S. forces from NATO’s Eastern flank prematurely, and just weeks after Russian drones violated Romanian airspace, undermines deterrence and risks inviting further Russian aggression,” Republicans Wicker and Rogers said in a statement obtained by Newsweek.

Mitch McConnell vs. Tulsi Gabbard

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) speaks during a hearing with the Senate Appropriations Committee in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on June 11, 2025 in Washington, DC. Ky. Sen. Mitch McConnell has built a strong reputation as a conservative typically siding with Trump and MAGA. But in a rare fit of defiance, McConnell voted no to Tulsi Gabbard, who serves as the director of National Intelligence. “The nation should not have to worry that the intelligence assessments the President receives are tainted by a Director of National Intelligence with a history of alarming lapses in judgment,” McConnell said in a statement.

Brian Fitzpatrick, Mike Turner vs. DOGE

Pa. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick and Ohio Rep. Mike Turner stood by themselves as the only House Republicans who voted against the first series of DOGE’s budget cuts, according to the Hill. DOGE– headed by Elon Musk– was designed to reevaluate federal spending and cut unnecessary expenses. Part of Musk’s solution was to fire thousands of federal workers, and these two Republicans weren’t having it. The DOGE cuts passed without their vote back in July.

Republicans Against Military Strike

After the Trump administration’s targeted bombing against alleged drug-trafficking cartel boats, several Republicans have spoken out against the moves, TIME Magazine reported. S.D. Sen. Mike Rounds called for greater scrutiny of the strikes during a recent New York Times interview. “We have oversight responsibilities, and we expect to get our questions answered,” he said. Also, N.C. Sen. Thom Tillis questioned if Trump was careful enough with the military strikes. “I think we’ve got to be very careful when you’re talking about ordering a kinetic strike,” he continued to the Times.
