“You’re nominated for Hidden Fences,” Bush Hager said to Williams, who was actually nominated for best original score for Hidden Figures, and while there is the Denzel Washington movie Fences, there's no such movie titled Hidden Fences.

From the look on Williams' face, one could only imagine what was going through his mind:

On Monday, Bush Hager issued a teary-eyed apology for her mistake.

“I’ve seen both movies, I thought they were both brilliant. I’ve interviewed casts from both of the movies. And if I offended people, I am deeply sorry,” Bush Hager said Monday, referencing both Hidden Figures and Fences. “It was a mistake. … I am not perfect. I’m authentic, but a human. And what I didn’t want to do was make anybody feel lesser than who they are.”

And all is well in the land of forgiveness. Both Williams and Hidden Figures stars Janelle Monáe and Octavia Spencer accepted the apology and brushed off the incident:

Bush Hager wasn't the only one to screw up the movie's name that night. During Michael Keaton's reading of the best supporting actress award, he also referred to the movie as "Hidden Fences." But instead of being apologetic like Bush Hager, his apology took on a more assholier and sarcastic tone.

“I’m sorry, I apologize, I screwed it up,” he told TMZ. “I’m a horrible person. … I’m gonna sleep pretty well.”

Oh well, his Batman movie still sucks years later.
