Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, is speaking out about the upcoming biopic about her father and one of its stars, Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo. And she’s not holding back the animosity.

As we previously told you, the forthcoming film is shaping up to be a glamorous affair with actors like Domingo, Nia Long, Larenz Tate, Derek Luke and more already onboard. However, it doesn’t look like the star-studded cast is enough to convince Jackson that it’s going to be a wholly accurate film. In fact, she said as much in a recent series of Instagram story posts where she called out Domingo specifically, after he allegedly said in a recent interview with PEOPLE that she’d been “very helpful” for the film.
Domingo also noted that both Jackson and her older brother Prince were both “very much in support of” the upcoming project. But, based off Jackson’s posts, it doesn’t appear that she’s all the way on board as she pushed back on her level of involvement in the film and how it’s being made entirely.
Tagging Domingo on her post, Jackson said: “Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had zero percent involvement in lol. That is so weird. I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest/didn’t sit right with me and when they didn’t address it I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys not my circus. God bless and godspeed.”
She also added that she’d only met Domingo briefly on two occasions and didn’t speak to him at length so she was confused as to how she had been so “helpful” for him.
Later in the day, she hopped back on to add some further context to why she feels a way about the film, explaining that she’s stayed quiet about it because based off the script she read–it “panders to a very specific section” to her dad’s fandom that “still lives in the fantasy.”
She also said that the film has “a lot of inaccuracies” and “full blown lies” and she’s not with the “dishonesty.”
“I spoke up, I wasn’t heard, I f*cked off. That’s it. Y’all are gonna like the f*cking movie,” she said.
In a separate post, she pushed back against the narrative that she hates her late father or resents him because she doesn’t want any ties to the film.
“That’s not my truth, that’s not where I’m coming from. I just prefer honesty over sales and monetary gain. That’s it and I kinda just don’t want anything to do with…that,” she concluded.
