Last month, a man and a woman was seen allegedly engaging in a sexual act in the backseat of a Rover in an Ohio public park of all places. Turns out, that man is not only married, but a pastor, and the woman he was allegedly with was not his wife. The bodycam footage of the whole ordeal made its way online, and he’s speaking out about it all.

On the afternoon of Aug. 30, Clearfork Reservoir Police Chief Scott Kotterman reported seeing two people in the rear seat of a parked grey 2022 Land Rover in a picnic area while on patrol. When the cop approached the car, the man can be seen on bodycam footage with his pants around his ankles and his black drawls nearly mid-thigh. The woman was also seen getting out of the car and pulling up her pants. When the cop asked what their relationship was, the man answered, “Boyfriend, girlfriend.” But, the sweaty and near-naked man in the backseat was identified as Aaron Williams Jr, according to the Mansfield News Journal, who is the husband to someone else.
The outlet reported Williams, described as a “devoted” spouse, has been the pastor of Maddox Memorial Church of God in Christ in Mansfield, Ohio, for nine years. Now, the pastor has been slammed with a public indecency charge. The 46-year-old mistress woman, whose name won’t be released because she’s not a public figure, was also charged with public indecency and is represented by Allen Werstiuk, the same defense attorney as Williams.
When asked by online outlet The Christian Post about his charge, Williams denied he was ever arrested and blamed the whole ordeal on political motivations. Williams, a Gulf War veteran and an aspiring politician, ran as a Democrat for Richland County commissioner in 2024 against Republican incumbent Darrell Banks. He lost.
Williams was a reported no-show at church that following Sunday, per the outlet, and its unclear whether he has since returned to the pulpit. However, he told The Roys Report in an interview that he never told anyone he was perfect and that everything was just “blown out of proportion.”
He declared he’s “not a villain,” but expects for folks to “jump on stuff like this because they always want to look for something that the church is wrong about.” The “proud father of three beautiful daughters,” according to the church’s website, added, “I never said I was better than anybody or higher and mightier than anybody. I’ve never said I was holier than anybody.”
He wants you and everybody else to know that no matter what, “Nobody can hold me more accountable than the Father, myself or my family.”
Williams was arraigned last week when his attorney entered a not guilty plea. He’s scheduled to go to trial on Nov. 20 and faces up to 60 days in the slammer and a maximum penalty of $500 if convicted of public indecency, a third-degree misdemeanor.
