Cardi B and Offset are once again heading towards divorce. According to her repโs confirmation to Page Six, the โBongosโ rapper filed for divorce from Offset on Wednesday. The rapper is reportedly seeking primary custody of their children as well, and is โnot foldingโ this time.

Cardi and Offset share two children together, their daughter Kulture (5) and son Wave (2). The outlet confirms that Cardiโs main focus at the moment is โobtaining primary custodyโ of their children. According to sources close to the outlet, the divorce is โnot a surpriseโ to Offset, as the two have been, โtrying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now.โ
โItโs not something that happened overnight,โ the source told Page Six. โTheyโve both been on the same page. There wasnโt [pushback]. Theyโve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. Itโs become unavoidable.โ
As The Root previously reported, this is not the first time Cardi has filed for divorce from the rapper. In 2020, Cardi first filed, reportedly happening after rumors of infidelity on Offsetโs side. At the time, People reported that the relationship between the two was โirretrievably brokenโ and that there were โno prospects for a reconciliation.โ
The two eventually did reconcile months after she first filed, as The Root reported. In November 202o, the divorce was dismissed โwithout prejudice.โ Since then, the two have remained together but not without rumors and hiccups, with Cardi often taking to social media with cryptic messages surrounding outgrowing relationships and putting herself โfirst.โ
Earlier this year, however, it did seem as if the two were still working on their marriage, as they were spotted on a date night just this April. But now, Cardi is reportedly focused on, โmoving on.โ
โShe has no ill will towards him,โ the source tells Page Six. โSheโs wishing him the best. Sheโs not going into this next season [of her life] with any beef or any drama. She wants everything to be very peaceful.โ
