Rapper Offset is finally speaking the truth when it comes to the breakdown of his marriage to Cardi B in a new interview. But, that’s not all the tea he’s spilling and we’ve got to put you on!

As we’ve been telling you, Offset and Cardi have been going back and forth dragging each other’s name in the mud since the very first utterances of him cheating hit the social media streets nearly a decade ago. Their latest jabs at each other have come in the form of their respective albums, “Kiari” and “Am I The Drama,” in which they both can be heard looking back on each other’s faults.
Now, the “T-Shirt” rapper is opening up even more about his marriage breakdown and recently sat down for a chat on the “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer” podcast. During the talk, he discussed, among many things, what it was like being married to a star just as big as he was.
Admitting to not being “perfect” and making “a lot of mistakes,” Offset came right out and admitted that he was wrong for stepping out on Cardi and that he can “own up” to it now.
“I was definitely not perfect,” he said around the 33 minute mark. “I made a lot of mistakes. I did a lot of wrong and it’s always on the front screen, so it was hard to move on from it,” he explained.
When Palmer asked him if he had any regrets on how things transpired and what he would do differently if he could go back, Offset said that he wish he would’ve respected his wife more and done a better job at showing up and not been so selfish.
“I should have respected her way more. I made bad decisions as a man, stepping out, and I gotta take that on the chin,” he said. “I was being selfish, and I can say that as a man. I wish there wasn’t so much interest in our stuff going on. I’ve done got out of pocket a couple of times because it feels like you’re getting bullied.”
Additionally, the “Walk It Like I Talk It” rapper addressed internet speculation that linked his cheating to fellow rapper Saweetie while she was in a relationship with fellow Migos member Quavo. Thanks to chatter online, many assumed that was one of the reasons why Offset and Quavo fell out and weren’t on speaking terms for awhile.
Speaking to those rumors, Offset explained: “No, it was rumored, man. I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split of me and bro. I think people were trying to tear down my situation and their situation. We’re men, we don’t play those games.”
Still, Offset stopped just shy of letting us know what that “something deeper” was that contributed to him and Quavo’s friendship ending. But, seeing as how he’s still doing interviews, (like his most recent on on Wednesday at “The Jennifer Hudson Show”) we might get an answer sooner than we think.
