DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORWEDNESDAY, JULY 4, 2012

In the morning, the President will return to the White House from Camp David. There will be in-town travel pool coverage of the President’s arrival.

Later in the morning, the President will deliver remarks at a naturalization ceremony for active duty service members in the East Room. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Alejandro Mayorkas will present the countries of the candidates for naturalization and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will deliver the oath of allegiance. This event is open press.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will celebrate the Fourth of July by hosting military heroes and their families for an Independence Day celebration with a barbeque, concert and a view of fireworks on the South Lawn. Staff and their families from throughout the Administration will also attend this event for the concert and fireworks viewing. The President will deliver remarks. His remarks will be pooled press. The event will be streamed live on www.WhiteHouse.gov/live.
