DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORWEDNESDAY, JULY 18, 2012

In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing. This meeting in the Oval Office is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will meet with Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to discuss the Administration’s efforts to respond to the drought. This meeting in the Oval Office is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet for lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will welcome the 2012 NCAA Women’s Basketball Champion Baylor Bears to the White House to congratulate them on their historic 40-0 season, and their NCAA Championship victory. The President will also highlight the Lady Bears for the commitment they’ve made to their community, including their work with students and the homeless in the Waco area. This event is open press.

Later, the President and the Vice President will meet with Secretary of State Clinton and then with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in the Oval Office.  These meetings are closed press. 

In the evening, the President will attend a campaign event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. This campaign event is closed press.
