Akintunde Ahmad, who will be attending Yale University in the fall, has already done the newspaper circuit and was a guest on Ellen DeGeneres' show last month, ABC 7 News reports.

On Monday night, the Oakland Technical High School senior, who is an outstanding baseball player, was honored as the Oakland region's student athlete of the year.

On Tuesday, the Oakland Raiders honored Ahmad, who also plays three instruments, with a shopping spree at the Raider Image Store. He was escorted through the shop by Oakland legend and Hall of Famer Willie Brown, ABC 7 News reports.

Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie surprised the 18-year-old, who has a 5.0 GPA and scored 2100 on the SAT, with an unexpected gift.

"Another gift from the Raiders, a Windows Pro Surface computer," McKenzie told the teen, the news station reports. "So this thing will serve you very well at Yale University. OK, from the Raiders, thank you, congratulations."
