Rapper Nicki Minaj is no stranger to beefing with folks on the internet… but we never could’ve imagined that she’d tussle with Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom. and what’s more is the Democrat — known for clapping back at President Donald Trump — is able to keep up with all of her antics!

We previously told you Minaj has been catching a lot of flack ever since teaming up with President Trump to address the alleged genocide of Christians in Nigeria. Since putting on her political hat, the rapper has had the smoke for a number of Democrats, including the governor of California.
On Dec. 10, Newsom appeared on “The Ezra Klein Show,” saying he wants “to see trans kids.” The governor added, “There’s no governor that signed more pro-trans legislation than I have, and no one’s been a stronger advocate for the LGBTQ [community].” While this isn’t the first time Newsom has been vocal about his support for trans rights, his remarks triggered a flood of tweets from the “Anaconda” rapper, reminiscent of President Trump’s typical online jargon.
“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that,” Minaj tweeted on Dec. 12. “Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids.” She continued saying she’s “bored” of the governor and “Send in the next guy.”
Minaj followed up her 8:28 a.m. tweet with another jab at the California Democrat in the early morning. “Gavin is the cute boy who got everything handed to him b/c of how cute & sexy & hot & smoking he was,” she continued. “He thinks he’s Tom Cruise only difference is, his next mission IS impossible. He should get another leading role.”
Both tweets were accompanied by memes of the horror movie character Chucky. And if you thought that was the end of Minaj’s attacks, you’d be disappointed to know she continued posting about Newsom as the days followed with no response from his team. That is until the governor posted a video many believe was aimed at the “Good Form” rapper.
In the video montage, several clips of Trump and Newsom can be seen while Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss” plays in the background. Specifically, these are lyrics which played:
“These h**s don’t be mad at Megan / These h**s mad at Megan’s Law. I don’t really know what the problem is / but I guarantee, y’all don’t want me to start.
B***h, you a p***y/ never finna check me. Every chance you get/ bet yo weak a** won’t address me.”
If you’ll remember, we kept you updated with all the drama between Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. The lyrics Newsom used just so happened to be the exact same lyrics Megan wrote as a diss towards Minaj… Was this just a coincidence? The world may never know. But Minaj certainly took it as a direct hit and responded once again online.
“Pooh this won’t get the results you guys are hoping for. Change the subject. For your sakes. With all due respect,” she wrote. Minaj then posted a series of memes before accusing the Democrat of “still transitioning” and being a “wicked & evil man.”
Newsom hasn’t responded directly since posting the video. The same cannot be said for Minaj, who legend has it is still attacking the Democrat days later…
