The couple was in Aspen, Colorado with twins Monroe and Moroccan for Christmas, but the holiday quickly turned sour when one of Cannonโ€™s kidneys failed and he was immediately admitted to the hospital.

Less than 24 hours before Nick was taken to the hospital the couple was photographed walking the streets of Aspen with bundled up twins in tow.

The five-time Grammy award winning singer took to her Twitter to announce the news to her 5 million deep followers. "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman," she tweeted. She also twitpicโ€™d a picture of her lying in bed with her radio and TV personality husband at the hospital.

We'll be keeping an eye on Carey's tweets for updates and hoping for a quick recovery for the father of two.
