While she was initially and falsely painted as the aggressor, according to PEOPLE, a federal review by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI concluded that she was cleared of all allegations. In a statement from her attorney Joe Habachy said that the FBI “will not pursue any further investigative actions regarding this matter.” He also noted that his client was “pleased” by the news but that it didn’t come as a shock because she knew she was innocent to begin with. However, Habachy did allude to the negative press surrounding this event not being a plus.
“Sadly, nothing can undo the unfortunate and damaging press frenzy that ensued as a result of these false allegations with many headlines that were downright defamatory,” Habachy explained. “At a minimum, Ms. Williams is owed apologies by this passenger and by every publication that furthered the unsubstantiated storyline at Ms. Williams’ expense.”

While Andy Cohen’s BravoCon went off without a hitch over the weekend in Las Vegas, the same can’t be said for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams. In particular, it looks as if she may be in some sort of federal trouble. Let’s get into it.
Now, the last time we updated you on Williams was back in October when she and her ex-husband Simon Guobadia were embroiled in other legal mess regarding the TV star’s potential residency in Nigeria. Specifically, Guobadia reportedly withdrew his sponsorship support for her to receive her Nigerian Resident Permit– a move that was met with some scathing online reactions at the time.
Now it seems like Williams is once again facing some sort of legal trouble, but for an entirely different reason. The “RHOA” star was reportedly traveling from Las Vegas back to her hometown of Atlanta over the weekend when an incident occurred mid-flight. Though details were initially unknown, whatever happened caused the reality TV star to have to meet with local police after she walked off the Delta plane. The Atlanta arm of the FBI later confirmed to TMZ that it was looking into the situation.
“FBI Atlanta is aware of incident on a Delta flight on November 16th allegedly involving Porsha Williams and/or at least one other person,” a spokesperson for FBI Atlanta said. “We are looking to see whether any federal charges may or may not apply.”
Later Tuesday morning, Williams’ attorney spoke with Loren Lorosa of “The Breakfast Club” and provided more details into what happened.
“Ms. Williams was verbally assaulted by an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation. The passenger then proceeded to make false allegations that were in direct conflict with observations from several eyewitnesses,” the attorney conveyed in a statement. “As with any incident occurring aboard an aircraft, federal authorities are required to conduct an investigation involving all parties to determine what, if any, offenses occurred. Ms. Williams has every intention of cooperating with law enforcement to whatever extent necessary and remains confident that the passenger will be charged.”
As far as Delta Airlines is concerned, they’ve confirmed that there was an incident involving two passengers, but they’ve yet to release additional details.
