Cellphone footage has been released showing the vantage point of the ICE agent who fired the deadly shots that killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

The horror of George Floyd’s murder still lingers in the minds and hearts of Black folks, so when videos surfaced Wednesday (Jan. 7) of an ICE agent killing a U.S. citizen in the very same city—Minneapolis—the disbelief was visceral.

Just four blocks from where a Minneapolis police officer knelt on George Floyd’s neck in 2020, a mother was gunned down in broad daylight on Wednesday (Jan. 7), this time at the hands of a masked ICE agent. While Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey told the feds to “get the f**k out” of his city, the echo of his outrage is already vibrating through the halls of power in Chicago and New York. Mayors Brandon Johnson and Zohran Mamdani are breaking their silence on the shooting and drawing a line in the sand.

Renee Nicole Good — a young white, conventionally attractive woman and mother — was shot to death by an ICE agent in her car on a street in Minneapolis, a major U.S. city with a majority white population. The tragedy is too common, but the optics are much different than what the public is accustomed to when they think of ICE or police victims.

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett offered a tearful response to the horrific killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota this Wednesday (Dec. 7). News of the ICE-involved shooting reached all the way to the U.S. House Committee by the next day, and while politicians were quick to speed past the tragedy, Crockett insisted the committee address the elephant in the room.

Tensions between Minneapolis residents and immigration enforcement is at an high following a shocking killing of an American citizen. In the wake of an ICE agent shooting Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, state Gov. Tim Walz gave a frightening warning to residents.

The public was never supposed to see the face of ICE agent Johnathan Ross when he opened fire on Renee Good’s SUV in Minnesota. Video taken from the scene shows Ross adjusting his face mask after shooting the unarmed citizen in the head and before fleeing in an unmarked car. It wasn’t until Secretary Kristi Noem bragged about him being an “experienced officer” that Ross’ mask finally came down.
