“It pushed both of us, but it pushed her very hard,” said Denisse.

Cedeno-Delrosario was pushed underneath a parked SUV, where she was discovered. She suffered serious chest and head injuries and was taken to Hartford Hospital, where she died.

According to Eyewitness News, Denisse said that her mother pushed her out of the way so that she wouldn’t get hurt.

Police are investigating the crime in hopes of finding the car and the driver who hit Denisse and her mom. They’re searching for a dark-colored Nissan with a missing side mirror.
