Hip-hop is one of the few genres where how you dress is almost as important as how you rap. Of course, the quality of your music will always be at the top of the list, but some fans value how you wear clothes more than how good your 16 was.

With some of the MCs showing out at Paris Fashion Week, we only thought it would be fitting that we highlight some of the flyest artists in rap.

    A$AP Rocky

No surprise here. A$AP Rocky has been the current standard for how a rapper can gain respect in the hip-hop and fashion world. He can put together the coldest streetwear look or put on the most avant-garde high-fashion apparel and make it look dope. The only tough thing was figuring out a photo to use since there were so many.

    Tyler, the Creator

Tyler, the Creator’s evolution as a rapper and fashion influencer has been a treat to see. As he matures so does his style. He’s the king of the preppy look, making cardigans, loafers, and nail polish on his nails look like the freshest thing ever.

    Doja Cat

Doja Cat is never afraid to take chances. In many cases, her unique and weird style is a reflection of her personality. Just take a look at her cat-themed look at the 2023 Met Gala, and you’ll know that anything unique or new does not scare her.

    Kendrick Lamar

I don’t think people give Kendrick his props as a stylish artist since he takes such long breaks from the public eye. But, when he pops out, he always puts that shit on. His Martine Rose fit was my favorite look from the 2023 Grammys.

    Cardi B

If I could define Cardi B’s style in one word I would use bold. Her looks at the Met Gala are always going to be big, bold, colorful, and beautiful, which represents her personality as a rapper.

    Doechii

Doechii is making her name in the rap and fashion world. This young TDE knows how to have fun with her style, and as someone who just recently became a public name, she’s always using her public appearances to experiment.

    Lil Nas X

There’s not really one way to define Lil Nas X’s style. He went from being a modern cowboy to whatever this is. He truly has no limits to what he’ll wear in public.

    Big Sean

Big Sean is just a fly dude who puts dope pieces together well. He continues to be a major inspiration for young kids who are in love with streetwear. First, it was waves, skinny jeans, and vintage snapbacks. Now it’s baggy jeans, oversized jackets, and dope kicks. The Detroit native just continues to be clean.

    Offset

Yes, that’s Offset wearing a diamond-studded mask. While Cardi B oftentimes overshadows her partner because she’s Cardi B. Offset has always been one of the more underrated MCs when it comes to fashion.

    Westside Gunn

With an MC that goes by the name FLYGOD, he always lives up to this persona. There’s never a moment when the Buffalo MC won’t be seen with some of the gaudiest, most outlandish, and most creative chains out there. But, he always peas it with high-end sneakers and jackets.

    A$AP Ferg

Ferg hasn’t quite had the influence on fashion culture as his A$AP brethren, but he’s always been a fly guy who puts fits together that fit his physic. He’s not as lanky as Rocky, but he still finds a way to make high-end fashion and streetwear look easy.

    Lil Yachty

When it comes to sneakers and vintage streetwear, Lil Yachty rivals anyone in hip-hop. Just take a look at his crazy sneaker closet and you instantly know that Yachty is a fly dude.

    Travis Scott

This is the rapper that all the young Gen-Zers look up to when it comes to streetwear and sneaker culture. He single-handedly revitalized the popularity of Nike SB sneakers and his collaborations with Jordan are always some of the most sought-after kicks. every year.

    Playboi Carti

Playboi Carti is one of the few rappers who fully embraces the punk rock look today. Whenever he makes a public appearance you can see him in an all-Black outfit, a rock tee, skinny jeans, or leather pants. The look just fits the sound of his music.

    Pusha T

Despite being a veteran in the rap game, he’s still very much an active member of the genre who continuously drops quality music. Just like his music has aged like wine, so has his style sense.

    Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi is an underrated fashionista. He can go from wearing extremely casual clothing on the street to putting on a dress while performing live. He’s done it all.

    Pharrell Williams

He may be an OG in the game, but he’s still making waves in the fashion industry to this day. He’s currently the menswear creative director for Louis Vuitton and he put on an amazing show to reveal his first collection with the brand.

    SAINt JHN

Not only should you pay attention to SAINt JHN’s style, but you should also check out his music. Both are criminally underrated.
