In a video posted online with VladTV, the two stars said that their video drama started after a trip back from the Bahamas, when they noticed that one of their bags was missing. Smith said that he had coaxed Faust into recording their interactions for fun (and for private!). Of course, the couple never dreamed that the tapes could ever fall into the wrong hands.

However, about a month after the missing-bag incidentโ€”the bag was never recoveredโ€”they got a call from the porn company that had somehow ended up with their tape.

"It was like a train hit me," Faust said. "What do you do? If Vivid had it, someone else could have had it; we didn't know."

That was when they decided to sign off on making the video public through the company, deciding to control their own image and at least make a profit from the ill-fated video, since, in this age of the Internet, there was little guarantee that it would stay under wraps for long.
