It’s been three years since Migos broke up and Takeoff was fatally shot.

It’s been three years since legendary rap trio Migos officially broke up and the hip-hop community was rocked by Takeoff’s untimely death. But after ongoing beef between the group’s remaining members, Offset and Quavo, it seems all the tension is now behind them.

Offset spoke candidly about his current relationship with Quavo during an episode of “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony.” The pair have now made amends and talk regularly.

“Me and Quavo talk every other week,” Offset said during the podcast.

He continued saying the beef between them was only amplified by online gossip. “It be the internet trying to do some old s**t, but with us, it ain’t about that. Like, we holla at each other,” he added.

None of the group members publicly confirmed the cause of the breakup or what sparked the beef.

“That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometimes,” the “Bodies” rapper continued. “End of the day, a n***a ain’t finna play with him, or a n***a ain’t finna play with me and he gon’ play about it.” Offset even mentioned they met up to celebrate what would’ve been Takeoff’s 31st birthday.

In November 2022, the third Migos member was fatally shot in Houston. By that time, Offset already went solo from the group while Takeoff and Quavo formed their own duo called Unc & Phew.

After Takeoff’s death, the two men reportedly got into a disagreement back stage at the Grammys, which was briefly caught on camera. Months later, Offset and Quavo joined at the 2023 BET Awards for an emotional tribute to their fallen brother. They performed one of their biggest hits, “Bad and Boujee.”

Offset continued on Anthony’s podcast saying Takeoff was the glue that held Migos together. “Gotta celebrate him. Any bulls**t get put aside about bruh,” he said. “He was the one who keep our head straight… He always was the n***a that was the medium.”

With that, Offset confirmed what Quavo previously said: Migos will not make a comeback without Takoff. “People don’t understand like personally losing a bro? N***as don’t wanna continue that. It ain’t the same juice,” Offset said. Still, he continued that while Takeoff might be gone, he’s still around: “You feel him.”
